After a travel of 14 months over 20,000 Km, 1,500 grey clay beijing bricks were forced to come back. With elaine wing-ah ho, fotini lazaridou-hatzigoga (www.iwishicoulddescribeittoyoubetter.net), and a brave group of friends we gave them a warm welcome party at homeshop in xiaojingchang hutong on the night of 2009 august 29th (www.homeshop.org.cn). Bricks will occupy the public space in front of homeshop for few days and then we’ll encourage a “silent insertion back into the hutongs” inviting people to come and take home the bricks they need.
